DESIGN-There is NO charge for design!!

We can design for you, we can offer you choices of traditional and modern design, we can take your design and modify it to your size and needs. It all included in the reasonable square foot price. We can provide you a wide variety of designs to choose from. You are encouraged to seek design ideas from other sources such as magazines, personal photographs, wallpaper, or other artwork. Any drawing or printed medium will be allowed to influence the design process.
The design is additionally developed from a wide range of previous work, photos and a catalog of patterns, with input from the customer. A working drawing is made and approved before beginning.

BUILDING THE WINDOW

The first step is to place a 1/4 inch sheet of plexiglas over a full size pattern where a bead is applied and bonded onto the acrylic sheet, forming an outline of the design

COLORS-There is NO charge for Colors!!

After applying the bead, mixed acrylic colors are poured into depressions created by the bead. The colors are hand mixed and can be either translucent offering a "privacy" window--or transparent.This process, which takes up to six weeks to complete, allows for intricate patterns and designs such as pictured on this site
Additional materials used include opalescent and marbleized treatments (where the colors are mixed and swirled within the glass) and transparent or translucent coloring. We can blend the colors to match any color in the rainbow, we can shade, and the moods and clouds can float in the sky. There are no limits and the colors are included in the same square foot price. The use of our "stainglas" gives the buyer more flexibility in the use of the art. Weight is not a problem.

ON-SITE DEVELOPMENT VISITS

We would like to be able to visit sites to advise the owner of lighting and structural needs. We offer this is some areas of Texas. For other users we work off shop drawings and consult via phone, fax, and other electronic means.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

For best results in maintaining your window wipe with an dust free cloth and use a polish designed for plastics, such as Novus Plastic Polish. This will help your window from collecting dust particles and easy erasure of fingerprints. Stain de Glas will provide the owner with an anti-static cleaner for general cleaning. All products used should be approved for plastic materials. Glass cleaners are damaging to the plastics.

FOLLOW UP

When the windows are finished and installed Stain de Glas preserves the artwork with a digital photo. We will attempt a visit to many Texas job sites "to enjoy the total beauty of the finished work, and to be assured that what was requested was in fact realized."
