ABOUT THE ARTIST

Lemon Ave

These beautiful windows are the creations of Jenny Rose Busche who studied the technique for these windows with Chicago artist Don Brown, inventor extraordinaire in 1975 after returning from her travels in Australia and Europe. This modern application of commercial grade materials, already in use, was originally formulated for the sign writing industry. The art window technique, which involves using acrylic sheet, fiberglass beading and transparent and translucent acrylic color, now creates a window which offers the beauty of stained glass and a greater flexibility suitable to today's architecture.

"This is not a substitute for stained glass or leaded glass," Jenny says, "We are giving people another choice, an alternative. We consider our technique a new window art form. We use new materials and new designs and borrow the old concept of beauty with vibrant colors then we add light and lines like leaded windows. The end product is viable in today´s market and is strikingly beautiful."
